In Environmental Sciences, you will learn how ecosystems respond to human activity and how scientific tools are used to monitor, protect, and manage natural resources through courses in ecology, soils, water systems, climate, and environmental assessment.
Experiential learning is central to the program. You will work in labs, greenhouses, and field sites across the Agricultural Campus, gaining practical experience in sampling, analysis, and environmental monitoring. Our instructors specialize in soil science, plant science, water quality, and ecology, giving you a broad understanding of today’s environmental challenges.

Minimum admission requirements
To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:
- Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
- Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice.
- Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course).
Admission to many HÂþ» programs is competitive. This means that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Program-specific admission requirements
- Minimum overall average: 75%
- Academic English 12
- Pre-calculus Math 12*
- Three additional academic subjects
*If youÌýdon'tÌýhave theÌýappropriate pre-calculusÌýmath class, but are otherwise qualified, you may be admitted on the condition that you complete a Grade 12 pre-calculus equivalent upgrading course before you arrive at HÂþ».
The Minor in Environmental Sciences (Agriculture) is only available to Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) and Bachelor of Science (Bioveterinary Science) students.
