Through its SSHRC Institutional Grants (SIG) funding opportunity, SSHRC provides annual block grants to help eligible Canadian postsecondary institutions fund small-scale research and research-related activities by their faculty in the social sciences and humanities.Â
Global Research Seed Fund
The Global Research Seed Fund is an internal small grant which is intended to support the development of international research initiatives between HÂþ» researchers and their global partners.Â
Applications are accepted from researchers who are eligible for tri-agency funding; resulting grants are intended to support new or emerging collaborations, of up to one year’s duration, which require start-up support to develop research ties. Such collaborations will be funded up to a maximum of $5,000.
HÂþ» Belong Research Fellowships
HÂþ» has established the Belong Research Fellowships for pre-tenure, tenure-track faculty who are Indigenous and/or members of equity-deserving groups as one means of supporting their development as researchers. Up to four fellowships of $5,000 each are available annually.Â
