Meet the Profs is an annual event hosted by the Environmental Law Students’ Society (ELSS) and the Marine & Environmental Law Institute (MELAW).
Each year, the ELSS and MELAW hold a luncheon and either have a lecturer talk about a marine/environmental topic; or a round table where faculty and students converse; or a social meet and great for faculty and students to chat with one another (every year is different). Faculty members of the Marine & Environmental Law Program – alongside practitioners and MELAW associates – welcome students to mingle and connect. This is a great way for students to meet faculty and members of the Institute and talk about how an environmental and/or a marine certificate will further their career.
Students are then encouraged to sign up for the MELP certificate program to be placed on the email list to receive updates on upcoming lectures, social events, summer research positions, etc.
