FRONT OF HOUSE

Front of House volunteers are some of the first front-line attendants for customer service to patrons for the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, which regularly features performances by local talent as well as world-famous national and international entertainers. All Front of House volunteers report to and are under the direction of the House Manager.

We are currently seeking volunteers to fill the following positions:

Greeters
Key Responsibilities
  •  Welcome patrons of the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium near the building entrances.
  • Address customer requests for assistance, directions or complaints.
  • Assist patrons with disabilities (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, etc), as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Coat Check Attendants
Key Responsibilities
  •  Provide coat check services for patrons of the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Address customer requests for assistance, directions, or complaints. 
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

General Responsibilities
  •  Friendly, patient, and approachable demeanor. 
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently with guidance.
  • Individuals need to be willing, able and committed to providing excellent customer service to every patron they serve. 
  • Show understanding, courtesy and tact; may deal with people who are difficult, hostile, and/or distressed. 
  • Hours may vary so must be able to work evenings and weekends, with some weekdays and/or holidays
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies and procedures.
  • These positions require heavy interaction with the public providing courteous and inclusive professional assistance. 

Volunteer opportunities may vary depending on the time of year, and applying does not guarantee a position. We will, however, do our best to create opportunities for volunteer involvement.

Selected applicants will need to attend a Volunteer Training Session for hands-on training and a tour of the venue prior to the start of volunteering.
