Schulich Leaders Scholarship

TheSchulich Leader Scholarshipsare among Canada’s most prestigious undergraduate awards for students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

H the Schulich Leaders Scholarship

At H, outstanding high school nominees can receive:

  • $120,000for engineering programs
  • $100,000for science, technology, or math programs

Each year, 100 scholarships are awarded across 20 partner universities in Canada to students whodemonstrateacademic excellence, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit.

January 28, 2026– Deadline for high schools tosubmitnominations*

February 18, 2026– Deadline for nominees tosubmittheir application

*Each Canadian high school can nominate one graduating student per year, or four perCEGEP.If your school had a 2025 Schulich Leader, youcannominate two students.

Eligibility

To be considered for a Schulich Leader Scholarship, you must:

  • Be a graduate from a Canadian high school or CEGEP
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program at H

  • Diploma in Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) - BSc (Agriculture),with the followingmajors:
    • Agricultural Business
    • Agricultural Economics

    • Plant Science
  • Bachelor of Technology
    • Small Business Management

  • Bachelor of Computer Science–BCSC,includingmajorsin:
    • Software Development
    • AI & Machine Learning
    • Cloud Computing
    • Algorithms
    • Networking & Cyber Security
    • Graphics & Gaming
  • Bachelor of Applied Computer Science – BACSC,includingmajors in:
    • Software Development
    • Database Systems
    • Web-Centric Computing
    • User Interface Design

    • Project Management

  • Bachelor of Engineering–BENG, and
  • Bachelorof Engineering Co-Op–BENG,includingmajorsin:

Application process

Successful nominees will receive an email from Schulich Leader Scholarships with a link to an online application.

2026 Leaders

Congratulations to our 2026 Schulich Leader Scholarship recipients, Chinazam Igwe (Bachelor of Computer Science) and Joseph Fay (Bachelor of Engineering). Joseph and Chinazam represent some of the best and brightest future Canadian STEM leaders.

Reese Ochitwa, Computer Science

Matthew Oh, Engineering

Thanks to the scholarship, Matthew says he is entering university with a sense of freedom and focus. “I can fully spend my time contributing, leading projects, and exploring internships — even unpaid ones — just to learn as much as I can, without the pressure of needing a part-time job.”
