MASTERS AND DOCTORAL

Graduate students in Earth & Environmental Sciences may be eligible for financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships, or awards.   • Marcos Zentilli Award (MSc and PhD)
    • Awarded annually for best poster at the graduate poster symposium in April.
    • Eligibility: in-program MSc and PhD students in Earth & Environmental Sciences.
    • Value: varies each year; typically $1000
  • Lew King Award
    • Awarded annually based on academic excellence.
    • Eligibility: incoming or in-program MSc or PhD students; candidates must be nominated by a faculty supervisor in Earth & Environmental Sciences.
    • Value: varies each year; typically $15,000.
    • Application deadline: January 5.

POSTDOCTORAL

Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships

  • Each year, HÂþ»­ University awards approximately 5 Killam postdoctoral fellowships in all disciplines to Canadian or International scholars of superior academic research ability, who have completed, or will complete, a PhD at an institution other than HÂþ»­ University
  • Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships are tenable for two years and are valued at $50,000 per year for up to two years, plus benefits, relocation allowance, research and conference travel allowances.
  • In preparing the research proposal, applicants are expected to discuss potential research projects with the Faculty members in their area of research interest.
