This course is designed toÌýincrease awarenessÌýandÌýtest the competencyÌýofÌýtractor operatorsÌýwith regardÌýto the safe operation and use of farm tractors and implements.Ìý
TheÌýfollowing people can take this course:
- 14 to 16-year-olds with a valid Nova Scotia Class 8 drivers license who want to be able to haul equipment on Nova Scotia roads
- Those with a valid class 5 drivers license who want to increase their tractor safety knowledge and skills
Participants with a valid Nova Scotia Class 8 driver’s license who successfully complete the course will receive a wallet card that enables them to operateÌýa tractor with an attached implement on Nova Scotia roads. Please note that the wallet card isÌývalid for a farm tractor and trailerÌýif the combined weight isÌý14,000 kg or less.
