We are open all year including during exams and the summer term.

Please note that additional appointment times (in-person and online) can be requested.

  • Online hours:
    Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • In-person hours:
    Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Additional Halifax locations

Book appointments by emailing writingc@dal.ca or completing our . Locations include:

  • Black Student Advising Centre: Appointment and drop-in time details on the BSAC website.
  • International Centre: The writing advisor will be in the main room (Suite/unit 1200) of the International Centre, at a table with signs for the Writing Centre.
    •  and in-person hours:
      Wednesdays 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Sexton Campus (Murray Engineering Student Centre): Appointments and drop-ins are Mondays from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. 

Truro location


The Agricultural campus has its own Writing Centre during the fall and winter semesters. For AC writing appointments contact acwrite@dal.ca. More details are available on the AC Writing Centre website.
